תְּקִועָהf. (תָּקֵּע) blowing the Shofar; esp. tḳiʿah, a succession of connected notes (v. שֶׁבֶר I). R. Hash. 34a, v. שֶׁבֶר I. Ib. 30a תְּקִיעַתר״ה ויובל blowing on the New Years day and in announcing the jubilee. Ib. Ib. סדר ת׳ שלשוכ׳ the order of the blowing of the Shofar is this: three soundings, each consisting of three tunes (tḳiaʿh, truʿah, tḳiʿah).
